Biography - Claudia Jennings Lima
Claudia Jennings Lima grew up in a town called Julian in San Diego County. She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Animal Science. After graduation, she went to work in the family Lumber Business in San Diego. She then moved to Ukiah and opened a wholesale lumber brokerage business.
In 1991 she met my husband John, a logger, got married and moved to Humboldt County.
Claudia paints what she is passionate about, which would include the landscapes of the great State of California and the hardworking people of Humboldt County.
She has drawn most of her life. She began painting around 20 years ago.
She’s studied under Mimi La Plant, Teresa Stanley, Leslie Price, Jim McVicker, Father Bruno Segatta, The Eureka Art Studio with Linda Mitchell and recently with George Gallo from Los Angeles.
Claudia lives in Arcata with her husband John and son Christopher. Claudia is also the Volunteer Director for Humboldt County Special Olympics.
